Copyright and Takedown Policy
SnapTikHD is a link-processing tool. We take a public URL you provide, ask the origin server for the media it points to, and pass the resulting link back to your browser. Understanding that shape explains most of what follows.
What we do not do
- We do not host, store, cache or archive any video or audio file. Files transfer directly from TikTok's servers to your device.
- We do not maintain a library, index or search function for content. There is nothing to browse here — the tool only responds to a link you already have.
- We do not process private, friends-only or age-restricted content. Our tool can only reach material that is already publicly viewable without an account.
- We do not ask for, accept or store TikTok login credentials.
Your responsibility as a user
Copyright in a TikTok video belongs to the person who created it. Downloading a file does not transfer any ownership to you, and removing a watermark does not change who owns the work — it only removes the attribution.
You are responsible for how you use anything you download through this site. Broadly:
- Generally reasonable: saving your own uploads, keeping a personal offline copy, archiving a video you appear in, or keeping reference material for private study.
- Requires permission: republishing someone else's video, using footage in a compilation, or including any of it in commercial or monetised work.
- Not acceptable: passing off another person's work as your own, or using this tool to build content farms.
If you want to share a video, the share link is nearly always the better option — the creator keeps the view and the credit.
Submitting a takedown request
Because we host nothing, there is normally no file for us to remove. What we can do is block specific URLs, accounts or content identifiers from being processed by our service. If you are a rights holder and want your content excluded, we will do that.
Send your request to support@snaptikhd.site with the subject line Copyright — Takedown Request, and include:
- Your name and contact details, and the rights holder you represent if that is not you.
- Identification of the work — the TikTok URL, account handle, or other identifier.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days and to action valid ones within five. Requests missing the elements above may be delayed while we ask for clarification.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was blocked in error, write to the same address with the subject Copyright — Counter-Notice, identifying the material and explaining why you believe the block was mistaken, along with your contact details and signature.
Repeat infringers
We will block access to our service from users who repeatedly attempt to use it to infringe copyright, where we are able to identify them.
Relationship to TikTok
SnapTikHD is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok, ByteDance Ltd., or any of their subsidiaries. "TikTok" is a trademark of its respective owner and is used here only to describe what our tool is compatible with.
Use of this tool may be inconsistent with TikTok's own terms of service. That agreement is between you and TikTok, and you should read it and decide for yourself.
